I know my source the otherday told us that it was bangaladumpa because from russia aloo went to bengal and from there it reached andhra region katey! However I don't wanna believe him, I like bangarudumpa better. :) Its golden any yummy especially in those awesome fries. :p

Why do potatoes always get stuck in these word jargon shenanigans? In all cultures too, apparently.

"You say pot-ay-to,
I say bangaladumpa."

But it's okay. Pretty soon, they'll all just be "One large fries".

(And apart from fries being probably one of the only acceptable forms of potato anyway, it's not like McD's is going about selling aloo fry or bangaladumpa koora.)

(again. wtf is bangaladumpa! can't get over it.)

Dumpa = Tuber.
Bangala = Bengal.
Bangaladumpa = A made up word by someone who was too lazy to think of something cool, like Bangarudumpa.

(... and also too lazy to use a hyphen. What the hell, right?)

Fun-fact.

Cut-lets are made of Bangala-dumpa.

(Ah, how I love made-up hyphenated words.)
